Armenian Genocide Research Paper TopicsThe English Department offers many opportunities for students to participate in research paper topics that focus on either the Armenian Genocide or the genocide that was also known as the 'Holocaust.' The first topic is a collection of written writings that have been contributed by a number of sources and is widely known as the 'Ottoman Genocide,' which is also known as the 'Agadir Treaty' in Turkey.
In addition to the Ottoman genocide, there are two new standard reference books that provide detailed information about the Armenian Genocide. The publication of this important work is a historical milestone in the field of genocide studies. In this article, I discuss some of the key topics that are included in this work. One of the most critical areas of the Armenian Genocide is the definition of what constitutes genocide. While the traditional views on the meaning of genocide center on the deliberate intent to destroy a religious or cultural group, there are other considerations that should be considered in determining whether an act is in fact a form of genocide. For example, a critical area of debate is whether the deliberate and premeditated killing of one specific group meets the standard for the distinct and special categories of crime that can be prosecuted as a form of genocide. A second critical area of debate is the definition of specific motivations of those who committed genocide, such as ethnic or national motives. This report will include three chapters, each of which will examine the process of genocide in two locations - namely, the Ottoman Empire and the Armenian Genocide. Each chapter will investigate a significant topic in the area of Armenian Genocide research, such as the impact of genocide on international law, political systems and society in different parts of the world. The first part of the whole project will consist of two papers. The first will be the introductory paper, and the second one will be a two-part final paper that include a complete report of the research findings and conclusions in that section. At the end of the course, you will be required to present two papers, which will discuss the two main thesis of the course. In the first paper, you will be required to create a comparative and contextual analysis of the relationship between the Armenian Genocide and the Holocaust. In the second paper, you will be required to develop a theoretical framework that highlights the different social and historical features of the two major genocides. Students will be required to complete two written assignments, which will each require the inclusion of an oral presentation of a significant term or concept from the definitions of both genocide and holocaust. You will be required to participate in two short seminars, which will be required to address the issue of Armenian Genocide research and offer an overview of the major scholarly works in the field.
